After entering serene Muir Woods, you will enjoy guided audio narration (six languages) as you meander along a nature trail through the towering Coast Redwoods protected by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1908, some over 250 feet tall.
Plants & Animals Living Under the Forest Canopy
Be on the lookout for northern spotted owls, deer, lady bugs and 13 species of ferns that have been there for more than 300 million years as you study the redwood canopy above you. Take a moment to enjoy the silence in Cathedral Grove.
Sausalito’s Charming Crafts and Seaside Restaurants

Fantastic tour

Overnight and long layover in San Francisco. Definitely did not want to spend the day in the city. Was very happy that I could book the afternoon tour of Muir Woods and Sausalito a few hours before it began. They called me straight away to confirm and also helped me on the phone find the pick up spot which was obscure, no street number and no tour signage at the Hilton Hotel, Union Square location. Dustin was our tour guide, and he was very laid back, informative and very caring towards his tourists, as well as friendly and chatty with his guests. It was fantastic to just sit back and relax and not have anything to worry about , since I had just experienced exhausting travel delays. Great experience being with the trees, getting an ice cream in Sausalito and driving around San Francisco. Dustin was very generous with his restaurant recommendations, even offering to text a spreadsheet of them!

Muir forest is great
Muir forest is great, just make sure to bring warm clothing. We had an amazing tour guide. Roman had great humour. Our 13 year old twins thought it was the best moment of our SF visit. We learned so much during the visit.

We learned so much during the visit. Roman's also suggested places to go eat that were not tourist traps. Finally, he was eager to help each of us on the tour and if possible dropped us off at a convenient place.

Our tour was of Muir Woods (admission included) and a lunch stop at Sausalito. It was fantastic. Very professional. Our guide, Kimmy, was a total pleasure, very knowledgeable and just really fun. Highly recommend.

Muir Woods is a magical place to visit. Our tour guide Kimmy was very knowledgeable, caring and safe. After spending about 1,5 hours in the park we ended up in a lovely town of Sausalito. The tour was well planned, would highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco.

Our tour guide was excellent
Very knowledgeable and very amusing. Kept us entertained throughout. Well worth it. I also recommend the ferry trip back from Sausalito to San Francisco. We were lucky to have beautiful weather and excellent views of the Golden Gate Bridge. All in all an excellent tour. The Woods of course speak for themselves! Not enough time spent in them is the only downside of the day.
