Mariposa Grove, Yosemite National Park

There are several notable trees within in the grove including the Grizzly Giant, the grove's second largest tree, the remains of the Fallen Tunnel Tree, which fell in 1969, the Telescope Tree, which has a partially hollow trunk due to fire, and the Columbia Tree, the tallest tree in the grove standing at 285 feet. Along with the grove of sequoias is the Mariposa Grove Museum located near Mariposa Grove. The museum houses exhibits dedicated to the history and preservation of the grove as well as a gift shop.
