If you were staying any closer to Yosemite National Park, you would be in the Park! Located right at the entrance to Yosemite, this tourist class hotel is perfect for those wanting to experience the wonders of Yosemite with vacation style amenities. Support mass transit and take the YARTS (not included in price) from and to Yosemite Valley, and then use the FREE Hybrid Shuttles to get around and see the sights! All rooms have a view of the mountains or the river, and have in-room A/C, phone, cable TV & HBO. Two outdoor swimming pools and one indoor pool are available to enjoy. Relax after your day exploring Yosemite in one of their outdoor hot tubs!
Tour includes San Francisco Hotel pick-up, transportation to Yosemite National Park, Yosemite Valley Tour and drop off at Yosemite Lodge, where you gain your independence, for 24 hours. Tour van has limited space for luggage, so try to keep it small! The next day, meet another tour group at the same time and place, and finish the day with them and return to San Francisco. Overnight Yosemite National Park tours are a great way to spend time doing activities that our guided 1-day tours don’t have time for, such as rafting down the Merced river, learning rock climbing on the beautiful Yosemite granite cliffs or relaxing on an open tram tour of Yosemite Valley all at your own leisure. In winter, it is still a great time to visit. Some locations are inaccessible, but the scenery is completely different – the Valley itself is a winter waterfall wonderland. For someone willing to bundle up and wear the right shoes, and get some exercise, you will greatly rewarded, and there are times when you might feel you have the place to yourself.* DURING WINTER MONTHS *
Yosemite is open all winter. For safety reasons, itinerary may vary due to snow depth and driving conditions.
Winter clothes, especially shoes or boots with rubber soles and treads, are recommended.
Note: The Giant Sequoias visit on the Yosemite tours is dependent on snow levels from October to April.
