After completing this audio tour, you’ll be amazed at how many fascinating stories and personalities intersect at San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury. Even better, you’ll be tempted to flash a peace sign and put a flower in your hair.

On the roughly one mile walking tour, we’ll visit the following sites:
The Haight-Ashbury is an exciting, urban neighborhood with many cafes, restaurants, and bars. You can pause the tour at any time to stop for refreshments. You'll also find markets specializing in organic and sustainably grown foods and breweries offering locally produced ales. The books, music, vintage clothing and Tibetan handcrafts in the Haight’s shops are unlike what you will anywhere.

San Francisco is full of great hills but this area is relatively flat for the entire 1 mile path.
Like much of the California coast, San Francisco has a temperate climate with highs between 55 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit (12 to 24 Celsius) all year around. Winter storms, however, can make it feel much colder, so visitors should dress in layers and bring a warm rain jacket.
