    • Money for lunch

We recommend comfortable walking shoes, such as shoes or boots with rubber soles and treads. Hiking sandals (rather than beach sandals) can be worn on the Redwoods & Wine Country Escape during the summer months. High heels, flip-flops, and open-toe shoes are not recommended.

  • Is the Muir Woods entrance fee included? And how long do we spend inside Muir Woods?

The tour price does not include the Muir Woods entrance fee, which is $10 per person (based on 2016) and must be paid when you reach the entrance of the park. You have about an hour on your own inside the Muir Woods National Monument.

  • Which wineries are we going to visit?

On our Redwoods & Wine Country Escape tour we visit 3 wineries, located in Sonoma Valley and Napa Valley. Each winery stop ranges from 30-45 minutes. We’ve narrowed the list of winery stops to those that offer the best California Wine Country experience for our clientele. We have preferred partner wineries that we like to visit but the wineries may depend on the day. Occasionally, a winery on our tour may be closed for a private event, so our tour guides may change the itinerary on the day of the trip.

  • Does this tour go to Napa?

Yes, we do. The itinerary of visiting Napa Valley AND Sonoma Valley in combination with Muir Woods National Monument is what makes this tour unique.

  • Are wine tasting included and how much money do I need for the additional wine tastings in Sonoma Plaza?

Yes, all wine tasting fees at the 3 winery stops are included on this tour. If you want to join additional wine tasting, please feel free to do that. The wine tasting fees range from $5 to $20.

  • What languages are available for this tour?

The tour is narrated in English but we offer complimentary audio guides in 8 languages: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Japanese, and Portuguese. If an audio tour is required, please specify the languages needed in the comments section on the reservation page.

  • Is this tour suitable for children?

Yes, children of all ages are welcome on the tour though drinking alcohol is not permitted for those under the age of 21. Please bring a valid photo ID.

  • Do we stop at Golden Gate Bridge?

Yes, there will be about 15-minutes for a photo stop opportunity at the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

  • Can we buy food or do we have to bring our own lunch?

You are more than welcome to bring a bagged lunch though you will have time to pick up lunch or sit down at a casual eatery at the Historic Sonoma Plaza.

  • What is the advantage of this combination tour compared to the tours separately?

The Redwoods & Wine Country Escape combines two of California's top attractions. You get the chance to see the Giant Redwood trees and you will join several wine tastings in both Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley - all in just one day. There is also a huge saving by booking this combination tour rather than booking both trips separately.

Overall, a very good experience. We did a lot in a short amount of time, but our tour guide never made us feel rushed. I think that the tasting rooms related to the size of the group was a bit off. Some people parked themselves at the counter and sampled a lot of wine, while others were pushed to the back and did not get to sample as much. I know you can't control people, but it would be nice if those at the wineries tried to cater better to everyone's needs or have additional staff.

Booked the Muir Woods and wine country tour two weeks before. Called and confirmed the tour and pickup location and time. The pickup was a five minute walk from our hotel at Fisherman's Wharf. Picked up right on time in a nice bus which comfortably carried the 20 plus people. Anthony did a great job narrating and making suggestions/tips. Thank goodness for the nice A/C in the bus as it was hot during the whole day especially in wine country. My wife and I really enjoyed the Muir Woods stop...a little more time would have been nice but the winery stops and lunch timed out perfectly. Glad I did not book the lunch upgrade as there were many places to eat at the Sonoma lunch stop. Recommend the Sonoma Cheese Factory and their excellent sandwiches. They are large and one would have been plenty for both of us. The winery stops were excellent as were the hosts and wines in the tasting rooms. Beautiful country and this part of the tour was enjoyed. Ran into backed up traffic a couple of times but only delayed our return by about 20 minutes. Thanks for the great music had everybody singing along. Would highly recommend this tour.

I loved Muir woods. Roman was great. I found the wineries a bit boring.
