Day 1: Yosemite & Giant Sequoias Tour
Our Yosemite 1-Day Tour maximizes the time you spend in Yosemite National Park by starting early and traveling efficiently in a 15 Passenger Van or mini-bus. This is the only Yosemite Tour that enables you to cover both Yosemite Valley & the Giant Sequoias in one day. You also spend at least 5 hours inside Yosemite National Park, more than any other one day Yosemite tour company in San Francisco. When going through Yosemite Valley, we generally stop to see El Capitan, Half-Dome, Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Falls, Inspiration Point (aka Tunnel View), and Yosemite Village. After a 1 hour lunch break at the Yosemite Lodge, we drive to a higher altitude and a lesser traveled part of Yosemite National Park, to see the Giant Sequoia Trees Grove, the world's largest living things. After the 2 mile (1 mile each way) hike to see the Giant Sequoias Trees, get ready to head back to San Francisco and get dropped off at your hotel Get plenty of sleep to prepare yourself for the next day to see the most notorious federal penitentiary in US history, Alcatraz.Day 2: Alcatraz Tour
Meet your Alcatraz tour at Pier 33, and ride the ferry across the bay to Alcatraz Island. Your Alcatraz Tour begins with a 45 minute audio presentation "Doing Time: The Alcatraz Cell house Tour," featuring recordings of actual guards and inmates who lived and worked on the Island. Once your Alcatraz Audio Tour is finished, explore Alcatraz Island as long want on your own, but don’t forget that you have to get the ferry back to San Francisco!

Pier 33-Embarcadero Street. Local public transportation - F Streetcar, BART-Embarcadero station. The ferry ride from San Francisco to the island takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive on the island, a brief presentation of the island's history and guide to touring the prison is given. An audio tour is provided on entrance of the cell house that gives a recorded commentary from former inmates, prison guards and prison wardens. It takes roughly between 2 and 2 1/2 hours to do the full tour and just enough time to grab a souvenir. The ferry leaves roughly every thirty minutes. Learn interesting facts about the island, such as that Alcatraz was not only used as a prison but also as a harbor defense fort during the civil war and before then, was America's first lighthouse on the West Coast. Experience the beauty, history and infamy of Alcatraz Island on the San Francisco Bay. |
