初日の朝にはゴールデンゲートブリッジを渡りマリン岬を通りミュアウッズ国立記念施設への短いドライブから始まります。混雑する前の公園に皆さんをお連れし、ハイキングを満喫して頂きます。世界最高の木々があるコーストレッドウッドセコイヤの木々を一時間散策します。You’ll have an hour to explore the Coastal Redwood Sequoia groves, home to the world’s tallest trees.
Next, a short drive north will have you relaxing in Wine Country. Our first winery stop is at Gloria Ferrer Wine Caves, where you’ll learn about the process of winemaking while sipping on bubbly as well as Chardonnay & Pinot Noir. This winery has an amazing sun-drenched deck overlooking the vineyards, perfect for ordering an additional glass and sitting outside enjoying the view.
After your sparkling wine tasting, we’ll drop you off for lunch at the historic Sonoma Plaza. This is also the end of the first half of the tour. Spend the rest of the day on your own browsing boutique shops, visiting the many tasting rooms around the plaza, or rent bikes and do a bit of self-propelled touring among the vines.
Your hotel for the night is the Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn and is located just one block from the historic Sonoma Plaza and only 20 minutes from Napa Valley. All rooms have been recently redecorated and some of them have a private balcony or patio, fireplace, and access to the garden courtyard (room allocation depends on availability). On the second day, you have the morning to yourself to enjoy some of the amenities at the hotel or just sleep in! Around lunch time, the hotel shuttle will drop you back at the plaza where you will meet up with Extranomical’s tour group and spend the rest of the afternoon wine tasting. The next winery you’ll visit is Madonna Estate, they've been producing organic wine in Napa Valley for over 80 years. The final wine tasting stop before heading back to the city is Cline Cellars, a family-owned and operated winery dedicated to Rhone varietals. Don’t miss out on strolling the beautiful winery grounds and visiting the miniature donkeys.
On the way back to San Francisco, we’ll also drive through the little town of Sausalito, home to many sailboats, and hundreds of houseboats, and beautiful views of the Bay and San Francisco. Your final tour highlight, stops for a Golden Gate Bridge photo op, looking out above the bridge and across the bay to San Francisco’s city skyline.
