Located inside Yosemite National Park overlooking Yosemite Valley, this luxury hotel allows you to visit Yosemite National Park with all the modern conveniences, including phone, TV, free wireless internet, and breakfast included! The 123 room Ahwahnee Hotelis considered a premier lodge accommodation – featuring a restaurant, bar, sweet shop, 24-hour front desk, ATM on site, non-smoking rooms, a year-round heated outdoor pool and a fully equipped business center with copying machine and fax.

The hotel was built in 1927 and it's spectacular views, architecture, and iside decorations along with excellent service have earned it the premiere lodge classification. When staying at the Ahwahnee, you are just minutes away from Yosemite activities and sights. There is a free shuttle that takes you through the valley and to all Yosemite sights and activities like horseback riding, rock climbing or nature hikes. The Ahwahnee Hotel sells out in advance – we recommend you book early!

Tour includes San Francisco Hotel pick-up, transportation to Yosemite National Park, Yosemite Valley Tour and drop off at Yosemite Lodge, where you gain your independence, for 24 hours. Tour vehicle has limited space for luggage, so try to keep it small! The next day, meet another tour group at the same time and place, and finish the day with them and return to San Francisco. Overnight Yosemite National Park tours are a great way to spend time doing activities that our guided 1-day tours don’t have time for, such as rafting down the Merced river, learning rock climbing on the beautiful Yosemite granite cliffs or relaxing on an open tram tour of Yosemite Valley all at your own leisure. In winter, it is still a great time to visit. Some locations are inaccessible, but the scenery is completely different – the Valley itself is a winter waterfall wonderland. For someone willing to bundle up and wear the right shoes, and get some exercise, you will be greatly rewarded by the natural beauty, and there are times when you might feel you have the place to yourself.

Yosemite Three Day Tour - Day One - Times Approximate

6:00 - 7:00 AM	Pick-ups start in Fisherman's Wharf Area and continue in downtown San Francisco.
7:00 - 7:20 AM	West Oakland Bart Station pickup (if necessary).
7:20 - 7:40 AM	Dublin/Pleasanton Bart Station pickup (if necessary).
7:40 - 9:00 AM	Continuing east, see the windmills and descend into the San Joaquin valley and stop for a break and a snack.
9:15 - 11:00 AM	Begin the climb into the foothills, through gold country, and up into the Sierra Nevada range and Yosemite National Park.
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM	On your Yosemite tour, enjoy the amazing views of the valley, El Capitan, Half Dome, and the Yosemite Falls. Enjoy a hike to one of the park's waterfalls or lakes, or relax at the visitor's center where there are museums, restaurants, and the Ansel Adams Gallery.
1:00 - 5:00 PM	Get dropped off at Yosemite Lodge, the Park’s transportation hub, and your independence begins. Jump on the FREE Hybrid Shuttle and ride to the Ahwahnee hotel, check in, and drop off your bags. Ask the staff for some ideas, or browse the stores for some books or maps, and start hiking!
Evening	You can stay out later, because you don’t have to commute. Stores and restaurants are open “late”, but check times to make sure. Get a good night’s sleep so you can get up early for another exciting day in Yosemite.

Morning	Get up early! Sunrise in Yosemite! Then shower down, get some breakfast, and…
All day	You decide! Get some maps, book activities, talk to the rangers or the staff at the Village and the Lodge and get some ideas. IN WINTER Be prepared to walk on ice and snow – bring warm clothes, waterproof hiking boots, and mittens! Hike the valley, climb to the Top of Yosemite Falls, or take the Mist Trail beside the roaring Merced River. (Be careful, and ask Park staff about trail conditions.)
Evening	You can stay out later, because you don’t have to commute. Stores and restaurants are open “late”, but check times to make sure. Get a good night’s sleep so you can get up early for another exciting day in Yosemite.

7:00 - 8:00 AM	Get up early! Sunrise in Yosemite! You’re THERE! Again! You can sleep tomorrow. Then grab some breakfast, shower down, pack up, and…
8:30 AM - 1:00 PM	Spend the morning in Yosemite on your own. Grab a lunch, and get back to Yosemite Lodge. IMPORTANT: CALL US TOLL-FREE AT 1-866-231-3752 TO CONFIRM PICK-UP TIME AND PLACE!
1:30 - 4:00 PM	Meet your new friends and new driver. Explore more of Yosemite with the group. This includes driving time to take an optional hike in the forest and see the Giant Sequoias. (May be omitted due to snow levels and trail conditions from October to April – we’ll spend more time in the Valley instead.)
4:00 - 6:00 PM	Start the return trip, descending from the Sierras, with more great scenery as we follow the sun to the west.
6:00 - 6:30 PM	Stop for a break and a bite to eat.
6:30 - 8:30 PM	Continue back to San Francisco, enjoying views of the sunset over the East Bay hills, or the Peninsula and the city lights.
8:30 - 9:00 PM	The Yosemite tour ends at your San Francisco Hotel front door.

Vehicle Safety Inspection: Safety is paramount in our industry and one of the biggest safety components in the tours we provide are our vehicles. Extranomical's fleet includes vans and mini-buses. Our vehicles are inspected constantly; first in the morning when the tour guide begins his/her day; second throughout the day the tour guide is verifying fluid levels, tire pressure and the general operation of the vehicle is monitored throughout the day. The vehicles are also inspected regularly (at least every 10,000) miles by our vehicle maintenance staff and also by independent certified mechanics during their routine maintenance. If that were not all, we also go through a thorough inspection performed by the California Highway Patrol once a year.
Tour Guide Training & Substance Abuse Testing: Our tour guides are extensively trained on both safety driving techniques and on providing an informative and interesting tour. Before being hired, we test our guides on safety driving in realistic situations around San Francisco they are also tested through an oral presentation of the material they will present to make sure that they provide a safe, knowledgeable and interesting tour.
