Yosemite Whitewater Rafting Full Day Tour Description

If you have a little more time to dedicate to your Whitewater Rafting experience, then we always recommend a full day rafting trip!! Experience all the scenic beauty of our half day tours, with the added benefit of a freshly-prepared river-side lunch, and best of all, the most exciting 5 miles of the river including thrilling 'Split Rock' and 'Corner Pocket' rapids. Our one-day whitewater rafting expeditions begin by assembling at the parking area beside the Indian Flat Campground. Once assembled, one of your experienced guides will discuss some safety details and we will have a brief lesson in how to operate the rafts. Following your short whitewater rafting lesson, we will distribute wetsuits and safety equipment and start to board the rafts. Before lunch we will cover a distance of approximately 10 miles, after which we are sure you will have worked up an appetite! So our instructors will whip you up a healthy lunch, made with fresh ingredients, which you can enjoy whilst chilling out by the side of the river. Following lunch, we will re-board the rafts and continue downstream for the most exciting and strenuous part of our trip. The second half of our rafting trip takes in the rapids 'Split Rock' and 'Corner Pocket' which are sure to stir up some excitement! At about 4 o'clock, we will reach the end of our rafting expedition and travel by bus back to the Indian Flat assembly area.

Yosemite Whitewater Rafting Full Day Tour Itinerary

10.00AM	Meet tour group in the parking area next to Indian Flat Campground on Highway 140. The parking area is located just outside Yosemite National Park at the Highway 140 entrance. If you are staying in Cedar Lodge the meeting point will be right beside the Lodge. For directions on how to get here from other accommodations in the park - just ask!
10.00 AM - 1.00PM	Once everyone has assembled at the meeting point, there will be a brief safety talk, before handing out wetsuits and loading up the rafts. Once prepared, we start rafting! Your whitewater adventure will launch right beside our meeting point!
1.00PM	Stop for a freshly-prepared, riverside lunch
2.00PM - 4.00PM	Start rafting again. The second half of your one day rafting trip will be the most exciting and the most scenic as we continue to the Gorge below Briceburg and come up against both Corner Pocket and Split Rock rapid.
4.00PM - 5.00PM	We reach the end of our rafting adventure! Take the rafts out of the river, load up the bus and drive back to the Indian Flat Campground. Return to our meeting point at 5.00PM.

Strict Quality Control: Our quality control supervises three sources that you interact with during your tour: 1) Our reservations staff is diverse and we count in any given day with people who speak 5-6 different languages; they have all been on our tours to experience them first hand and we always have a manager on duty 7 days a week. 2) Our tour guides are extensively trained on both safety driving techniques and are evaluated and financially compensated based on the customer tour reviews. 3) Our vehicles are frequently inspected by our drivers, mechanics and the California Highway Patrol to ensure they are in top mechanical shape.
Vehicle Safety Inspection: Safety is paramount in our industry and one of the biggest safety components in the tours we provide are our vehicles. Extranomical's fleet includes vans and mini-buses. Our vehicles are inspected constantly; first in the morning when the tour guide begins his/her day; second throughout the day the tour guide is verifying fluid levels, tire pressure and the general operation of the vehicle is monitored throughout the day. The vehicles are also inspected regularly (at least every 10,000) miles by our vehicle maintenance staff and also by independent certified mechanics during their routine maintenance. If that were not all, we also go through a thorough inspection performed by the California Highway Patrol once a year.
Tour Guide Training & Substance Abuse Testing: Our tour guides are extensively trained on both safety driving techniques and on providing an informative and interesting tour. Before being hired, we test our guides on safety driving in realistic situations around San Francisco they are also tested through an oral presentation of the material they will present to make sure that they provide a safe, knowledgeable and interesting tour.
