Take a stroll around the Castro and a step back in time on our Castro Historical Walking Tour. San Francisco is famed for its diversity and being the LGBT capital of the world, but this cultural freedom did not happen overnight. Join us on our Castro Historical Walking Tour as we explore the 'true' history of San Francisco from Gold Rush time through to the 20th century. Special attention will be paid to the hugely significant work of former San Francisco politician Harvey Milk. Milk was one of the most famous former residents of the Castro and his work on equality and gay rights changed the LGBT community forever

Guests can meet for the Castro Historical Walking Tour on the corner of Castro and Market Street under the rainbow flagpole. The meeting point is located above the Harvey Milk Plaza and the Castro MUNI station & opposite the F Line streetcar. |

During the 2 hour tour, guests will visit numerous historically significant Castro landmarks including: Harvey Milk's former residence and campaign headquarters, the pink triangle memorial park, local mural art and the famous Castro theatre. |
