Yosemite Celebrates Release of Newly Minted Quarter

Yosemite National Park will be celebrating the release of the newly minted commemorative quarter, which is set to be released July 26, 2010. The celebration will take place July 29, 2010 at the Valley Visitor Center beginning at 11:00 am. The Valley Visitor Center is located at Yosemite Village Loop, Yosemite California.

Several speakers will introduce the new coin including Ed Moy, Director of the United States Mint, Don Neubacher, Superintendent of Yosemite National Park, Kevin Caan, Chairman of the Mariposa County Supervisors and Tom Bopp, cultural historian. After the celebration visitors are invited to exchange $10.00 for a roll of Yosemite quarters.
