This year’s 12th Annual Power to the Peaceful Festival will be held in San Francisco September 10th thru 12th, 2010.  Musician and human rights activist, Michael Franti, will host the event in Speedway Meadow, which is expected to draw over 50,000 attendees.  The Power to the Peaceful Festival is the nation’s largest free annual music festival featuring international musicians, visual artists and over 200 exhibitors and green vendors.

The three day long festival begins with a pre-party concert by Michael Franti at the Fillmore along with a short film screening of international humanitarian organization, CARE’s, 2010 Global Action Forum.  Saturday’s festival in Golden Gate Park will begin with mainstage performances by Michael Franti & Spearhead, Rebelution and SambaDai.  Saturday commences with a concert at the Fillmore featuring Michael Franti and The Rocking Heads.  On Sunday the Fillmore will host a family friendly day of music, activities and crafts.  For more information regarding specific event times please visit http://www.powertothepeaceful.org/ .
