Each year the San Francisco Convention and Visitor’s Bureau organizes and prints a seasonal tourist guide for everything San Francisco. The 2010 summer-fall edition of the San Francisco Visitor’s Planning Guide is the perfect size to tuck in a suitcase or backpack and provides city tourists suggestions for dinning, sightseeing and more. The guide is published semi-annually and includes a six month calendar of events, maps of the city and public transit line schedules.
Along with maps and public transit schedules the guide includes profiles of fifteen San Francisco neighborhoods along with a directory of businesses located in each area and a budget friendly list of ten sightseeing attraction under $12.00. A section titled ‘Beyond the Bridge’ chronicles wine country sightseeing attractions, restaurants and retailers. Visitor guides are available at the following locations; Barstow, El Dorado Hills, Merced, Oceanside, Oxnard, Pier 39 in San Francisco, Pismo Beach, San Jose International Airport and Santa Rosa.
