Yosemite the Beautiful Quarter Public Release

The United States Mint will publicly release the newest addition to the America the Beautiful Quarters program with the goal of connecting people to the national park system. The quarter symbolizing Yosemite National Park features an artistic rendition of El Capitan on one side and the standard President George Washington portrait on the other. The entire America the Beautiful collection will be issued within twelve years and feature multiple national parks and landmarks.

The quarter design was chosen last year by a panel comprised of several national park employees. The quarters release marks the third coin in the America the Beautiful series released to date and commemorative roll and bag coin packs can be purchased from the United States Mint by visiting www.usmint.gov/catalog .
