All of our tours regularly pick up from San Francisco, but if you book a charter, you can start this adventure by being picked up at your Hotel in San Jose between 6:00-7:00 AM. You will head to San Francisco and meet your group for this unforgettable day.
The first highlight of this tour will be to cross the amazing Golden Gate Bridge before entering the colorful Sonoma Valley. The road to the amazing Wine Country, where California’s wine industry began in the 1850’s, will only take about an hour.
One or two of the Wine tasting will be done in the Carneros Region. One of the two tatsing will be at an Italian specialized winery and the other winery is specialized in Zinfandels, Chardonnay or Pinot Noir. One option is to visit Vintage 1870 in Yountville, located in the old Groezinger Winery building. You find some restaurants and shops where you can try and buy locally produced olive oil, cheese, etc., if you wish you can even taste a wine there as they have a cellar! Another option is to stop at the deli in Sonoma Valley with a picnic at a Vineyard.
The second region to be visited is Napa Valley and Yountville, named after George Yount, who planted the first grapes in Napa Valley. After visiting these two beautiful regions you will head southeast into Jameson Canyon (Tasting fees are included at the three winery stops, but not at Vintage 1870). On the way to San Francisco you will have a beautiful view over downtown skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge! After this amazing day, you will be dropped off at your Hotel in San Jose.

- Vehicle Safety Inspection
- Safety is paramount in our industry and one of the biggest safety components in the tours we provide are our vehicles. Extranomical's fleet includes vans and mini-buses. Our vehicles are inspected constantly; first in the morning when the tour guide begins his/her day; second throughout the day the tour guide is verifying fluid levels, tire pressure and the general operation of the vehicle is monitored throughout the day. The vehicles are also inspected regularly (at least every 10,000) miles by our vehicle maintenance staff and also by independent certified mechanics during their routine maintenance. If that were not all, we also go through a thorough inspection performed by the California Highway Patrol once a year.
