This whole day tour will allow you to experience two of the most popular natural sightseeing nearby San Francisco. The first part of the day will be dedicated to the Muir Woods National Monument. The second part of the day will bring you around the colorful Wine Country side.
All of our tours regularly pick up from San Francisco. If you book a charter, you can choose to be picked up at your Hotel in San Jose (between 6:00-7:00Am) before you join the group for the day in San Francisco. Once the whole group is ready, we will start our fabulous journey! You’ll get to spend about an hour in the Muir Woods, where you can see the tallest trees in the world. Just walk around or relax under the shade of these amazing trees.
Once you get back to the vehicle, the Redwoods and Wine Country escape will continue by heading north. On the road to historical Sonoma Valley and Carneros Regions, the driver will tell you a little bit about the history of the Wine Country. You will get the chance to visit three different wineries where you will each spend approximately a half an hour. All three wineries will offer you up to five different delicious wines (Wine tasting fees are included). Lunch will be spent in Sonoma, where you can either buy something at the square town or go to a restaurant. Make it your choice!
On the Way back to San Francisco/San Jose, we will drive through the small charming town of Sausalito. It is the home of thousands of sailboats, hundreds of floating houses and you’ll get a beautiful view of the Bay and San Francisco. If we haven’t stopped to take pictures at the Golden Gate Bridge in the morning, we will do it on the way back. After this amazing day, you will be dropped off at your Hotel in San Jose.
This tour is perfect for people who are real wine “connaisseur” or who simply enjoy the fine taste of good wine. The combination of the Wine Country and the Muir Woods will make your tour eventful, enjoyable and relaxing!

Drive through the Marina neighborhood, past the Palace of Fine Arts, the Presidio, and head north across the Golden Gate Bridge. Continue north through the Marin Headlands to Sausalito.

Listen to the story of the Redwoods while driving over the headlands into Redwood Valley to Muir Woods National Monument.

Muir Woods walk. Spend an hour in the shadow of 250 foot Redwoods, admiring the ferns and moss lining Redwood Creek, breathe in the fresh Bay (Laurel Tree) Leave scented air, and across the creek on one of three footbridges, and return by way of the gift shop and snack bar.

Head north on U.S. 101 to the first winery stop in the Carneros Region of Sonoma County, the birthplace of California's wine industry.

Drive to the lunch stop, either downtown Sonoma, or the historic village of Glen Ellen, in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Buy a lunch (or bring a bag lunch) and enjoy the sights and do a little window shopping after lunch.

Get back in the vehicle and continue the Wine Tasting Tour. Visit two more wineries and enjoy complimentary tastings of California Wines and enjoy the views of the surrounding hills.

Our vehicles are inspected constantly; first in the morning when the tour guide begins his/her day; second throughout the day the tour guide is verifying fluid levels, tire pressure and the general operation of the vehicle is monitored throughout the day. The vehicles are also inspected regularly (at least every 10,000) miles by our vehicle maintenance staff and also by independent certified mechanics during their routine maintenance.
