Yosemite Snowfall and Ski Update

Yosemite's Badger Pass is celebrating the New Year with a new lift, shuttle service to and from the ski area and plentiful snow. The Badger Pass Ski Area officially opened for the season on December 18th with plenty of fresh powder and blue skies for ski enthusiasts. The holiday season saw several inches of new snow and the New Year has seen blue skies and nicely groomed and packed powder.

Yosemite National Park has a current base depth of 30"-42" with trace amounts of snow in the last 24 hours. The average daily temperature in Yosemite is 50 degrees while the mornings are foggy and the afternoons are mostly overcast. Currently the Cross Country Ski Center, open 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, and Snow Tubing, open 11:30 am to 4:00 pm, are open for the season. Road conditions near Badger Pass are currently requiring chains on all vehicles except four wheel drive. For more information regarding lift ticket prices please visit www.yosemitepark.com/BadgerPass.
