Yosemite National Park Roads Close

A strong winter storm hit Yosemite on Thursday dumping a ton of fresh snow across the National Park. Some parts of Yosemite, including Badger Pass, received a reported eight to ten feet of snow while many other locations reported at least twelve inches. While the strongest part of the storm had subsided by Friday, the park service deemed all roads leading to Yosemite hazardous due to fallen trees, ice and snow conditions.

The road conditions were reevaluated on Saturday and vehicles were allowed to enter Yosemite with chain restrictions in place. Badger Pass is open for the weekend and the new Oakhurst to Badger Pass Shuttle will also be operating on a regular schedule. Airport shuttle transfers and Alcatraz Tours are non-refundable. Cancellations and changes are subject to a 10% or $25 fee, whichever is greater. As a courtesy to your fellow passengers, it’s important to be on time. If you are late or miss your scheduled pickup time for the tour please contact our office immediately at 415-357-0700. An alternative pick up location may be arranged at customer expense, subject to availability. Any guest who misses their tour entirely will forfeit their seat on the tour. No refunds will be issued.
