Yosemite National Park Roads Close

A strong winter storm hit Yosemite on Thursday dumping a ton of fresh snow across the National Park. Some parts of Yosemite, including Badger Pass, received a reported eight to ten feet of snow while many other locations reported at least twelve inches. While the strongest part of the storm had subsided by Friday, the park service deemed all roads leading to Yosemite hazardous due to fallen trees, ice and snow conditions.

The road conditions were reevaluated on Saturday and vehicles were allowed to enter Yosemite with chain restrictions in place. Badger Pass is open for the weekend and the new Oakhurst to Badger Pass Shuttle will also be operating on a regular schedule.
