Yosemite National Park is a breathtaking expanse of wilderness.  The climate is a typically moderate California climate with 4 seasons that can be enjoyed by all.  From summer camping to winter skiing, every season is as beautiful in the Yosemite Valley.  While tourists take advantage of this pristine park all year long there is one season that stands out above all the rest.

Spring in Yosemite National Park presents the perfect atmosphere for a tourist who is looking to spend some time in solitude without the hustle and bustle of the summer vacation rush, while taking advantage of the gorgeous waterfalls and beautiful weather.  Spring is also the best season for photographers to shoot nature when its most beautiful.  Some of the most visited sites in spring are Yosemite Falls, a 2,420 foot waterfall and the seventh highest waterfall in the world, the giant sequoia trees in Mariposa Grove, El Capitan and of course Half Dome.  The view of the valley floor from either El Capitan or Half Dome will yield an array of colorful wildflower meadows, a variety of trees sprouting new growth and quite a few booming waterfalls.  Tourists should always make advanced reservations for lodging and arrive early for the best accommodations.
