If you’re heading to Yosemite National Park during the winter for skiing or snowshoeing in search of some of the most memorable vistas and sightseeing attractions available in America, you can stay inside the park at Yosemite Valley’s Curry Village at special winter rates that fluctuate according to the temperature. Hopefully if you’re heading to Yosemite in the winter you’re already a hearty outdoor person with winter equipment, fully prepared for the enjoyment of winter activities because the deal only applies to Curry Village’s tent cabins which offer no heat, so you’ll need to provide your own. Curry Village is at the north end of Yosemite Valley below Glacier Point with a grand view of the famous Half Dome granite rock-face rising above.
The rate throughout the winter is set upon the previous night’s lowest temperature, and if it drops lower than that during your stay, you pay the dollar amount of the evening’s lowest temperature in Fahrenheit degrees. If the temperature goes below zero, then you begin earning a dollar for every degree the temperature drops. You can make a reservation with a deposit of thirty-nine dollars which is the highest price possible but you will only pay the matching temperature of your evening’s stay, so you will be credited back the difference. The pay-the-temperature deal is available through the end of April but some restrictions apply so check with your Yosemite tour provider or accommodations representative.
