The Sonoma International Film Festival – formerly known as the Sonoma Valley Film Festival, has selected its honoree for the 2009 event. This year’s festival, which takes place over five days from April 1 - 5, will honor the work of actor Bruce Willis. Known for starring in such films as “The Sixth Sense”, “The Fifth Element”, “Die Hard”, “12 Monkeys”, and “Pulp Fiction”, the actor and musician who is making his directorial debut with the film “What Just Happened”, will be honored at the spring festival.
Mr. Willis will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Sonoma International Film Festival in Sonoma Valley, which is now in its twelfth season. Mr. Willis has communicated that he is grateful to be recognized for his work and will be honored to receive the award in person in April. A retrospective compilation of Mr. Willis’ film work will be highlighted during a tribute ceremony with a party to follow.
