The 2009 Sonoma County Harvest Fair will be held at the Sonoma County Fair Grounds October 2nd-4th from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm Friday and 10:00 am - 7:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. The Harvest Fair is a celebration of the autumn harvest featuring three days of everything wine country. Some of the most sought after events include the World Championship Grape Stomp, tasting with over 150 wineries, microbrewery sampling, agricultural activities for children and adults, an art show, crafts pavilion, farm animals, live jazz and much, much more.
Both wine connoisseurs and novices will enjoy this three day event celebrating wine country's finest organizations. Event participants can enjoy a special wine flight price on Friday night along with chef demonstrations and pumpkin carving for the kids. The Harvest Fair Awards Night Gala will take place Friday September 26th from 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm and is the final event of the Harvest Fair's Annual Wine Competition. The gala provides a special preview of the competition entrants although eager attendees will have to wait until the Harvest Fair to find out who the wine competition winners are. Ticket prices for the fair range from $6.00 for adults to $2.00 for children ages 7-12 and gala tickets are $65.00.
