During the 12th Annual Kitchens in the Vineyards home tour a visitor can glimpse five beautiful homes located in the heart of wine country. Included in the tour is a viewing of the kitchen, dining room, entertainment room and garden. Present at each home will be a well known Napa Valley chef whipping up tasty treats along with local authors signing and discussing their current releases. A wine tasting will also be held at each home and paired with an appetizer sampling prepared by each chef.
One of the first stops on the tour is an estate built in 2002. One of the highlights of this home is the covered pavilion equipped with an outdoor kitchen, grill and stone pizza oven. The view of the surrounding vineyard and hillside from the patio of this home is unforgettable. A renovated French farmhouse features eclectic interior decor, a small fireplace in the country kitchen and a vintage stone sink and outdoor shower near a French potager garden. A multi level estate offers the wine country enthusiast a view of the vineyards and on site winery along with an award winning art collection and plenty of room to entertain. One of the most spectacular homes is a modern estate awarded the Grand Golden Nugget award for design in 2005. This property is surrounded by Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards and uses glass to optimize solar heat and sunshine. Finally, an estate located amongst huge live oaks and Tamber Bay Vineyards features a European garden, antique French fountain and world class Arabian horse stables.
