A celebration of food and wine, Pinot Days San Francisco, will begin June 24th with a blind tasting of 16 different pinots produced by 'newcomers' of the pinot world, hosted at Fort Mason. This event is a mixture of blind and thematic wine tastings, food pairings and educational conversations with the wine makers. Pinot Days was founded by the Bay Area Wine Project in order to advance the profile of Pinot Noir by celebrating its wine makers, vineyards, fruit and enthusiasts. A few of the Sonoma and Napa County wineries taking part in the event are Gloria Ferrer Caves And Vineyards, DeLoach Vineyards and Black Kite Cellars. Along with wine will be artisanal food pairings by local businesses including Marin French Cheese Company, Zoe's Meats and Elixir Olive Oil.
Pinot Days San Francisco will celebrate its fifth year in San Francisco by ending the four day event with a culminating Pinot Days Grand Festival at Fort Mason. This last day event held on Sunday June 28th will bring together 600 renowned pinots and their producers for an amazing afternoon of education, conversation and wine tasting. The Grand Festival is a perfect end to a private San Francisco city tour and a wonderful way to begin the week.
