The venerable Sebastiani Vineyards, one of the well known Sonoma Valley California wineries established in 1904 and run by three generations of the Sebastiani family, was sold this week to the Santa Barbara California based Foley Group. Details and terms of the agreement were not disclosed to the public.
Sebastiani Vineyards is one of the prominent California wineries in Sonoma County, and is well known on the Sonoma Valley wine tourist’s list due to it close proximity to the Sonoma Plaza in downtown Sonoma. The Sonoma Valley winery is a local landmark given its large European chateau structure along with its massive tasting room.
The thirteen year old firm, the Foley Wine Group, owns and operates a number of California wineries, and is adding the Sebastiani Vineyards property to its current holdings, including Three Rivers, Lincourt Vineyards, Firestone Vineyards, and Foley Estates Vineyard.
