San Francisco is known for it's large festivals, tastings and events centered around wine but few wine lovers have a chance to indulge their taste buds in an intimate setting filled with some of the best Pinot Noir produced on the West Coast. Every year the Farallon Restaurant hosts a small gathering of 50 top wine makers while offering tasty treats to those willing to pay the $100.00 ticket to attend. Although the ticket prices are steep for some, those who appreciate this varietal will gladly pay the price for the chance to taste many hard-to-find Pinot Noirs that generally aren't available at the larger public tastings and festivals.
The event will be held November 21st, 2009 and tickets cost $100.00 each. The doors open at 3:00 pm and the venue will host the tasting until 6:00 pm at the Farallon Restaurant located at 450 Post Street, San Francisco. This festival is a great way to sample a variety of the best and most elusive Pinot Noir's on the West Coast.
