San Francisco's First Annual Cinema by the Bay Festival

October 22nd marks the first ever Cinema by the Bay Festival organized by the San Francisco Film Society, taking place in the Landmark's Clay Theatre, located at 2261 Fillmore Street, and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, located at 701 Mission Street. The festival will showcase the passion, innovation and diversity of local film makers by featuring new work produced in or around the San Francisco Bay Area. The festival runs October 22nd through 25th and begins with an opening celebration which will be held at Temple Nightclub and Prana Restaurant in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco. The opening celebration will include short film and video screenings, live music, food and beverages.

There will be a total of 7 films whith themes revolving around past and present social issues, slapstick comedy, dark humor and melodrama mixed with a documentary style narrative. Tickets for the film screenings can be purchased in packs of 10 for $90.00, or individually for $10.00 to $12.50.
