For the 17th consecutive time San Francisco has been voted the number one city to visit in the United States by readers of Conde Nast Traveler Magazine. More than 25,000 Conde Nast readers took part in the 2009 Readers' Choice Survey. The complete survey results will be published in the November issue of Conde Nast which will hit news stands on October 20th, 2009.
San Francisco was voted the most popular tourist destination over cities such as Bangkok, Hong Kong, Florence, Buenos Aires and Vancouver. Survey reviewers have noticed that San Francisco's world renown restaurants and eateries are contributing factors to the city's high ranking. The San Francisco Convention and Visitor Bureau (SFCVB) was very excited to hear about the outcome of the survey. SFCVB President Joe D'Alessandro said “San Francisco continues to be recognized for its scenic beauty, diverse neighborhoods, restaurants and cultural attractions by travelers worldwide. We are grateful to the readers who took the time to participate in the Conde Nast Traveler 2009 Readers Choice Survey and for helping make San Francisco the #1 city for another consecutive year.” For more information regarding the complete results of the Conde Nast Traveler Magazine survey visit www.cntraveler.com.
