San Francisco Beer Week 2010

Jan
27 2010

Beginning February 5th and running through February 14th is San Francisco Beer Week, a 9 day beer festival celebrated throughout the greater Bay Area. Beer Week events, tastings and tours will be part of the celebration of brews in regions as far away as Wine Country, Santa Cruz and parts of the East Bay.

To begin Beer Week the San Francisco Brewers Guild will host an opening gala at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. On tap will be over 30 craft-brews and barrel aged beverages for event attendees to sample and enjoy. Tickets for opening night will cost $45.00 if purchased before January 31st and $55.00 if purchased after. Along with the opening night gala are a plethora of events scattered throughout the Bay Area. Enthusiasts have an opportunity to not only experience San Francisco based breweries but many other regions including Napa County as the Napa Valley Brewing Company is hosting a tour and tasting at the Calistoga Inn. Although many of the events are free, beverages, tastings and food must be purchased. Reservations are recommended at certain venues and most certainly during the Valentine's Day events.
