Union Square is known for its city sightseeing and shopping, but every third Wednesday of the month this summer Union Square will become a salsa dance fest. City tourists won't want to miss the live salsa music and dancing. And for those who don't know how to salsa dance there will be free dance lessons for everyone.
The free salsa dance lessons begin at 6:00pm and the live salsa band will take the stage at 6:20pm. The event is hosted and organized by Salsa Crazy, a group founded in San Francisco and dedicated to the art of salsa dancing. Salsa in the Square is a fun, family oriented event free to the public. The next event will be held July 17, 2009 and features the live music of Edgardo y Candela. For more information regarding Salsa in the Square please see www.salsainthesquare.com.
