Peter Pan Coming To San Francisco

Mar
26 2010
Golden Gate Bridge San Francisco

After the world premiere of Peter Pan in London the show will set up in San Francisco's Ferry Park, across the street from the Ferry Building this spring. Peter Pan is presented by three-sixty degree entertainment and Jim Barren and features a twenty-two actors, puppets, music, flying stunts and video. The round tent is the first of its kind to give the audience a 360 degree view of the 12 screens playing video footage of the theatre set.

The San Francisco Convention and Visitor's Bureau (SFCVB) estimates that this 18-week production beginning May 12th, 2010 will attract a huge number of city tourists from all over the country. The SFCVB would not estimate the amount of revenue the production would generate for San Francisco, but Mayor Gavin Newsom did stress that this type of event is exactly the kind of summer attraction the city needs during the current slow down of tourism.

Opening night begins at 7:00 pm May 12th and the production will run for approximately 18-weeks with the likelihood of extending the run until October 2010. Audience members can expect to learn about the history of Peter Pan, view behind the scenes footage and enjoy a world renowned theatrical production. Tickets cost $15.00 for adults and $12.00 for children and more information regarding purchasing tickets please see www.peterpantheshow.com.
