Film Night in the Park is organized by community partners in cooperation with Family Works, an organization dedicated to supporting and aiding families during all stages of familial development and growth. Film Night in the Park is an outdoor, family friendly festival. Each screening takes place in multiple cities throughout the spring, summer and fall.
This year's Film Night kick off was May 23rd and the showings will play until October 3rd. During the five month festival movies from many different genres can be seen including family friendly films, contemporary classics and modern love stories.
Many Bay Area cities participate in this annual event including San Francisco, San Anselmo, Fairfax, San Geronimo and Mill Valley. Along with the participating cities are sponsors such as Seawood Photo and Pacific Sun Pacific Sun. A few of the upcoming films are Manhattan showing in Union Square and Buena Vista Social Club showing in San Geronimo. Both films will be shown on July 11 at 8pm. The organizers ask for a donation of $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children and remind all future audience members to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
