On Saturday, March 27, 2010, the American Lung Association presents Fight for Air Climb (formerly Climb California), the state’s premier stair climb fundraising event. The event will draw a diverse crowd of more then 1,600 participants, 200 volunteers, and invaluable sponsors to raise funds to help all Californians breathe easier.

The event itself has participants, as individuals or teams, climb their way up 1,197 stairs, starting in 10-second intervals, to arrive at the most stunning finish-line ever, the 52nd Floor Banquet Room of what was formerly the Bank of America Building (555 California St). Once there, a feast awaits, as well as goody bags with free or deeply discounted pricing to many area attractions & restaurants. Clearchannel, Genentech and Extranomical Adventures are a few of the companies that have participated in the goody bag program.

Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. Cancellations or changes must be made 72 hours before trip departure to get partial refund, or at least 8 days in advance if the reservation includes hotel accommodation. Airport shuttle transfers and Alcatraz Tours are non-refundable. Cancellations and changes are subject to a 10% or $25 fee, whichever is greater. As a courtesy to your fellow passengers, it’s important to be on time. If you are late or miss your scheduled pickup time for the tour please contact our office immediately at 415-357-0700. An alternative pick up location may be arranged at customer expense, subject to availability. Any guest who misses their tour entirely will forfeit their seat on the tour. No refunds will be issued.
