February is Black History Month and the International Fund for Africa (IFA), an organization "dedicated to biocentricity and interconectedness of all people," will host a fundraising event to benefit IFA projects around the globe. The event, Soul Food-For-Thought, will be held at Herbst Theatre located at 401 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco on February 12th beginning with a 5:30 pm reception and an 8:00 pm show. The headlining performer is Soul and R&B singer Lenny Williams who will perform with his band.
The performance will also include Reggae, World Music, an African dance troupe and guest speakers. Along with the musical performance will be catered treats from some of San Francisco's most well known restaurants and a silent auction of arts and crafts from Ghana, Ethiopia and South Africa. This event is the largest Black History Month celebration in San Francisco attracting tourists from near and far.
