The California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park celebrated the one-year anniversary of Vice President Al Gore's challenge to repower America with 100% clean electricity within 10 years by showcasing an energy-efficient 'Home of the Future." Tendril Residential Energy Ecosystem (TREE) is a company that reinforces dialogue between consumers and suppliers through a system that connects in-home devices, such as thermostats, with the utility company. The idea behind TREE is to help consumers better understand their energy consumption in order to make positive future energy wise decisions.
During the celebration Tendril demonstrated how its comprehensive suite of energy management applications and in-home devices enables consumers to better understand and control their home energy consumption. The celebration was part of the popular NightLife series the California Academy of Sciences hosts every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Along with Tendril, Google also participated in the celebration as companies that provide excellent examples of businesses who have answered Al Gore’s call to repower America.
