San Francisco's Asian Art Museum will host a series of networking events open to the public called 'Matcha.' The Asian Art Museum is one of the largest museums in California dedicated to Asian art, culture and heritage. The museum hosts several events and socials throughout the year giving the public a chance to explore the museum in a much more intimate setting. The newest addition to the museums repertoire of socials is 'Matcha' hosted on Thursday nights from 5pm to 9pm.
Each networking event will correspond with the main gallery show and will include special tours of the featured collection on display. Guests are also invited to mingle over cocktails, enjoy live performances, tour galleries and create their own artwork. The next 'Matcha' networking event theme is Way of the Sword and will be held August 27, 2009. Esaka Sensei, one of Japan's most renown martial arts swordsmen will present a lecture on martial arts swordsmanship. There will also be demonstrations and a chance to participate in a movement class.
The Asian Art Museum is one of San Francisco's most visited attractions and the 'Matcha' series presents a wonderful chance for an intimate viewing of this world renowned museum. For more information regarding the Asian Art Museum and 'Matcha' please visit www.asianart.org.
