Obama Wax Figure is the Newest Addition to San Francisco's Wax Museum

Jun
01 2009

This week in San Francisco a wax and fiberglass reproduction of President Obama arrived at the Wax Museum located on Fisherman's Wharf. The long awaited figure created quite a stir as it made its way by ship and freight to its new home at the Wax Museum. The figure of our current President caused quite a riot as hundreds of people shouted and cheered "Obama!" as they captured the moment with their cameras. Many visiting tourists showed up for the unveiling of the President Obama figure and were excited to view the statue in its new home.

The figure of our current President is dressed in a black suit, white shirt, light blue tie and is smiling his signature toothy grin with an extended arm ready to shake hands with the public. The figure took six months to create and cost $15,000 to produce. Most of the onlookers noticed on closer inspection that the figure's hair and eyebrows are indeed real, obtained from a hair broker, where as the teeth are porcelain, and the eyes are glass. The statue made a transatlantic voyage from England to San Francisco and will be on display permanently in the Wax Museum at Fisherman's Wharf.
