Emirates Sees Expanding Dubai to San Francisco Service

Dec
20 2008

Emirates Airlines, which this week launched it’s a new route between Dubai and San Francisco with a “green” flight employing a host of fuel reduction measures, intends to expand its service to San Francisco in the near future. The inaugural sixteen hour trip to San Francisco – an important destination for Emirates Airlines to connect the middle east to San Francisco bay area, not merely for its tourism and the sightseeing attractions, but for significance of the bay area business connection, highlighted a host of environmentally considerate steps aimed at minimizing fuel consumption and pollutants, something inherently of interest to the state of California, its citizens, and the progressively ecologically minded firms in the area.

Upon the completion of the inaugural green flight that transported two hundred passengers from Dubai to San Francisco International Airport, a spokesman suggested that despite the worldwide economic downturn, Emirates Airlines intended to hire more staff and expand its service to San Francisco International Airport which is the gateway to Silicon Valley and the San Francisco bay area businesses, San Francisco’s many sightseeing attractions, such as Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, and beyond into Muir Woods and the wine country of Sonoma Valleyand Napa Valley offering its many local wineries, and up to Yosemite National Park. Emirates Airline recently began a Los Angeles schedule from Dubai and the route is doing well. The company is encouraged by its foray into flights serving the important west coast of the United States through Los Angeles and San Francisco and has foresees great promise for the future with ongoing interest in growth. But the company spokesman was quick to point out that Emirates Airlines is most concerned with being the best it can be with respect to service and services, and does not merely intend to be focused on the size of the operations. Emirates Airlines will offer daily non-stop flights between Dubai and San Francisco beginning in May, 2009.
