The Harbor Court Hotel has kept is 1926 aesthetic with a slightly modern twist. The Harbor Court was built in 1926 and bought by Kimpton Hotels in 1989. It became a 400 room occupancy facility equipped with bunk beds in every room and one lavatory per floor. Sitting on the Embarcadero overlooking the bay and with views of the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island this hotel has been transformed into one of San Francisco's premiere boutique hotels. Harbor Court is located near the Ferry Building Marketplace and is in very close proximity to Union Square and North Beach.
Today the Harbor Court Hotel has been transformed into a stylish modern boutique hotel popular with San Francisco tourists and business people alike. It was decided that the original architecture be conserved in order to preserve its history while updating the aesthetics of the interior. A guest at the Harbor Court will be greeted in a large modern lobby that stretches all the way to the Embarcadero. The rooms are quaint and proportionately sized for the 1920's although the furnishings and decor have all been updated. Any guest will be pleasantly surprised at the comfortable atmosphere exuding from this vintage hotel and will appreciate its close proximity to everything San Francisco.
