Located inside Yosemite National Park, this superb hotel option will allow you to visit Yosemite National Park with all the modern conveniences, including phone, TV, wireless internet, and breakfast! The 250 room hotel, Yosemite Park Lodge, is the closest Yosemite accommodation – you can not get any closer than this! Yosemite Falls, North America’s Tallest, is only minutes away, and the rest of the Valley’s sights are just a short FREE Shuttle ride away. Several restaurants, 2 gift shops, a bar, an outdoor pool, and bike rentals are right outside your room door. And Yosemite Village has even more attractions just a short FREE Shuttle ride away. AND Curry Village has even more! And NO commuting time! This package is perfect for Yosemite National Park visitors seeking the comforts of a hotel after an exciting day taking in the wonders of Yosemite Valley, and also those wanting to spend the most time on their feet with their eyes and ears open. Sells out fast – Book NOW! Our Highest Recommendation.
Tour includes San Francisco Hotel pick-up (tour vehicle has limited space for luggage, so try to keep it small!), transportation to Yosemite National Park, Yosemite Valley Tour and drop off at Yosemite Lodge, where you gain your independence, for 72 hours. The Four Day Yosemite National Park tour gives you 2 full uninterrupted days you don’t get with the 1- or 2-day tour. Do some all-day hiking to the top of Yosemite Falls, or if you are really in shape (and get an early start), to the top of Half Dome, or only part way, to the top of Nevada Falls or Vernal Falls - things that are hard to fit into 2 half-days or less. You could also slow it down and go rafting down the Merced River, or ride around on an open tram tour of Yosemite Valley (fare extra and seasonal). You can just take it easy and walk around the beautiful valley floor, or visit the Ahwahnee Hotel, and Mirror Lake is just a short uphill walk. For an all day excursion, bus it up to the Mariposa Grove and back or Glacier Point and walk all the way down (fare extra and seasonal). On the fifth day, meet another tour group, and finish the day with them and return to San Francisco.
In winter, it is still a great time to visit. Some locations are inaccessible, but the scenery is completely different – the Valley itself is a winter waterfall wonderland. For someone willing to bundle up and wear the right shoes, and get some exercise, you will greatly rewarded, and there are times when you might feel you have the place to yourself.* DURING WINTER MONTHS *
Winter clothes, especially shoes or boots with rubber soles and treads, are recommended.
We will always do what we can to make your trip enjoyable, but safety is “Job 1”, so the route and itinerary may be changed due to snow depth, road conditions, construction projects and detours.
Note: The Giant Sequoias hike on the Yosemite Tour is dependent on snow levels and trail conditions from October to April.
