Convenient Opening Hours We are available from 6:00 AM -10:00 PM every day of the week, 365 days a year (sometimes even 366 days!) and we don't have a phone tree so there are no phone transfer marathons when you call us you speak to our agents directly every time. Our offices have reservation agents available even on NYE because we know that you are on vacation and have worked hard to enjoy your time in San Francisco. We want to make it as easy and as convenient as possible to help you arrange a tour even if you call late night the day before you'd like to participate. The additional benefit of our extended hours of operation is that we can assist you to the best of our ability if there is ever a snag in your travel plans. Strict Quality Control Our quality control supervises three sources that you, interact with during your tour from San Francisco: 1) Our reservations staff is diverse and we count in any given day with people who speak 5-6 different languages; they have all been on our tours to experience them first hand and we always have a manager on duty 7 days a week. 2) Our tour guides are extensively trained on both safety driving techniques and are evaluated and financially compensated based on the customer tour reviews. 3) Our vehicles are frequently inspected by our drivers, mechanics and the California Highway Patrol to ensure they are in top mechanical shape. San Francisco based Only locals know the best San Francisco tour possible. Our office is located at 690 Fifth St, Suite 205, San Francisco, CA 94107. When you call any of these numbers you will be talking with someone that is located in San Francisco, who can tell you if the weather is sunny or foggy or if there is a special event in San Francisco that may be of interest to you. There is no comparison we are always there for you. Buy Direct we directly operate the majority of our tours this means we have vehicles and tour guides who are our employees. Being the direct source enables us to provide the highest quality control possible. We conduct customer satisfaction surveys daily and our guides are financially compensated based on your feedback after the tour. On average our tours have over a 90% customer satisfaction rating! The few tours that we subcontract, we only use partners with whom we have established relationships for many years and trust the safety and quality of their service. Vehicle Safety Inspection Safety is paramount in our industry and one of the biggest safety components in the tours we provide are our vehicles. Extranomical's fleet includes vans and mini-buses. Our vehicles are inspected constantly; first in the morning when the tour guide begins his/her day; second throughout the day the tour guide is verifying fluid levels, tire pressure and the general operation of the vehicle is monitored throughout the day. The vehicles are also inspected regularly (at least every 10,000) miles by our vehicle maintenance staff and also by independent certified mechanics during their routine maintenance. If that were not all, we also go through a thorough inspection performed by the California Highway Patrol once a year. Experienced Company Extranomical was founded in 2002 and is one of the fastest growing tour companies in San Francisco currently performing more tours than any other company to Yosemite National Park and Muir Woods & Wine Country combination tour. Located inside Yosemite National Park, this superb hotel option will allow you to visit Yosemite National Park with all the modern conveniences, including phone, TV, wireless internet, and breakfast! The 250 room hotel, Yosemite Park Lodge, is the closest Yosemite accommodation – you can not get any closer than this! Yosemite Falls, North America’s Tallest, is only minutes away, and the rest of the Valley’s sights are just a short FREE Shuttle ride away. Several restaurants, 2 gift shops, a bar, an outdoor pool, and bike rentals are right outside your room door. And Yosemite Village has even more attractions just a short FREE Shuttle ride away. AND Curry Village has even more! And NO commuting time! This package is perfect for Yosemite National Park visitors seeking the comforts of a hotel after an exciting day taking in the wonders of Yosemite Valley, and also those wanting to spend the most time on their feet with their eyes and ears open. Sells out fast – Book NOW! Our Highest Recommendation.
Tour includes San Francisco Hotel pick-up (tour vehicle has limited space for luggage, so try to keep it small!), transportation to Yosemite National Park, Yosemite Valley Tour and drop off at Yosemite Lodge, where you gain your independence, for 72 hours. The Four Day Yosemite National Park tour gives you 2 full uninterrupted days you don’t get with the 1- or 2-day tour. Do some all-day hiking to the top of Yosemite Falls, or if you are really in shape (and get an early start), to the top of Half Dome, or only part way, to the top of Nevada Falls or Vernal Falls - things that are hard to fit into 2 half-days or less. You could also slow it down and go rafting down the Merced River, or ride around on an open tram tour of Yosemite Valley (fare extra and seasonal). You can just take it easy and walk around the beautiful valley floor, or visit the Ahwahnee Hotel, and Mirror Lake is just a short uphill walk. For an all day excursion, bus it up to the Mariposa Grove and back or Glacier Point and walk all the way down (fare extra and seasonal). On the fifth day, meet another tour group, and finish the day with them and return to San Francisco.
In winter, it is still a great time to visit. Some locations are inaccessible, but the scenery is completely different – the Valley itself is a winter waterfall wonderland. For someone willing to bundle up and wear the right shoes, and get some exercise, you will greatly rewarded, and there are times when you might feel you have the place to yourself.* DURING WINTER MONTHS *
Winter clothes, especially shoes or boots with rubber soles and treads, are recommended.
We will always do what we can to make your trip enjoyable, but safety is “Job 1”, so the route and itinerary may be changed due to snow depth, road conditions, construction projects and detours.
Note: The Giant Sequoias hike on the Yosemite Tour is dependent on snow levels and trail conditions from October to April.
