Muir Woods Tours from San Francisco. A Muir Woods tour is one of the most spectacular sights in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Coastal Sequoia Redwoods that grow in Muir Woods are the tallest trees in the world. Our Muir Woods tour will take you from San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge, through the Marin Headlands, and into an "old-growth" Redwood forest, some of only 5% remaining after 200 years of logging. On yourMuir Woods tour our knowledgeable guides will explain how the Redwoods were once spared from the clear-cutting frenzy of the Gold Rush, and then again during the 1906 earthquake reconstruction. We also offer a combination: Muir Woods & Wine Country Tour, one perfect day of nature & culture.

The Tour guide Marc was very informative and helpful, going of his way to please all without disappointing the rest of us.

Walking through Muir Woods was heavenly. Having the option to depart at Sausalito and take the ferry across was an excellent choice which we thoroughly enjoyed.

It is a well ran tour and well worth the price. I live in the Bay Area and this is the third time that I have taken visiting family and friends on this same tour. Our guide was great. The last time, in May, our guide was also great. And the time before was several years, but a great guide, as well. I don't remember his name, unfortunately. Thank you.

Andy was so friendly and informative about the areas we visited. The Sonoma Valley and Sonoma town were delightful and the weather warm and beautiful. Jacuzzi was a stunning winery.

Rick was incredible. Easy to get along with, informative and engaged the entire bus throughout the course of the day. The wineries were fantastic as well, as were the stops in the city of Sonoma and the Muir Woods.

Mike was a fantastic tour guide - every bit as good as Andy, who was also fabulous. Muir Woods and Sonoma were wonderful places to visit, and Mike made the trip lively across a wide and different group of people

Marc was a super guide - really knew his stuff and was very courteous. One of our big takeaways was to do the Muir Woods tour early. I can honestly say had we gone 2 hours later, our experience would have been completely different as it turned into a very, very crowded environment.

Dave was great. We were picked up from our hotel right on time and drove through the city, across the Golden Gate Brisge to the Muir Woods. Dave was very knowledgable about the places we visited. He pointed out all the landmarks that we were passing by. Very funny and super nice person. We were dropped off near the stairs to the Coit Tower where we wanted to go after the tour. It was awesome.

Andy was well-versed in the history of almost everything we passed along the route. This was a nice touch.

The stops were spaced out appropriately and we were given enough time at each destination. The first wine stop at Jacuzzi was a great spot and the wine hostess was very informative.
